Welcome to the Mango & Gnocchi Podcast!
We’re Roshni and Rebecca, and we’re both nurses, grief experts, and avid home cooks. We’re the founders of Marigolde, a grief wellness platform rooted in food, culture, and rituals. We created the Mango & Gnocchi Podcast to highlight the power of our collective food stories to nurture us, bring us joy, and take us out of our minds and into our hearts.
Join us around the table the first Friday of each month where we will explore the power of a ripe juicy mango to transport us back home, how rolling out ravioli can soften our sorrows, and how a bowl of bibimbap can be an offering to the memory of our ancestors. Pull up a chair for delicious conversations with creatives, cooks, and community builders who pair food and storytelling to nourish the soul.
Sharing food is a language of love. It’s how we celebrate and how we grieve. In fact, it holds the blueprint for navigating grief with hope and pleasure at your side. While grief may seem lonely and big, cooking oxtail soup, eating a ripe apricot, or sharing a lasagna can offer small bites of sustenance in an otherwise overwhelming journey.
Our cravings are little messages about what we are needing at this moment. Maybe it’s sweetness, maybe a little warmth, a familiar taste— the smell of cardamom or the sizzle of chili crisp to feel alive again.
Grab your favorite drink, whether it’s a cup of chai or a gin & tonic, and join us around the kitchen table for bittersweet stories of food, feelings, and everything in between.
What is your grief craving?
